Professional Background
I am originally from New Jersey however came to the Carolina’s to attend Elon University where I was a Division 1 softball player and earned my Bachelors degrees in Exercises Science. I then earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with years of experience in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, where I’ve treat a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries in active adults and athletes. My experience in athletics has shaped how I treat with an emphasis on movement and building long term resilience to keep individuals doing what they love.
Specialties
Over time, I developed an appreciation for how the pelvic floor connects to overall movement and function. That led me to pursue additional education through Herman & Wallace and the Institute of Clinical Excellence allowing me to treat pelvic floor conditions in women including urinary incontinence, pelvic pain and pre/postpartum needs. I am dry needle certified through the Spinal Manipulation Institute.
My goal is to empower patient to live a well rounded lifestyle whether we’re addressing a shoulder injury or pelvic floor concerns. I focus on movement, health promoting habits, and mindset so that recovery isn’t just about a short fix but a long term solution.
I want to help patients navigate injury and pain without taking them away from the activities they enjoy doing.
Personal Background
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and golden retriever Nelly, trying new restaurants in Charlotte, traveling and staying active.
