Dr. Ginger Morrissey is one of Charlotte’s leading physical therapists, helping active adults get back to working out, running, playing tennis, and golf using natural solutions.
Education
She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2021. Ginger is a Fellow with the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy, a national organization with only 2500 Fellows across the country. AAOMPT Fellows provide the highest level of musculoskeletal care through advanced manual therapy. In 2014, she completed her Trigger Point Dry Needling certification from Myopain Seminars. This specialized training enables her to provide more thorough and efficient treatment of muscles and fascia, the root cause of pain. Ginger graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
Professional Background
Ginger founded Pin Point Physical Therapy, LLC in 2018 to create a physical therapy clinic devoted to providing the highest quality healthcare, more focused on patient care with faster and better outcomes. Earlier in her career, she worked at multiple highly regarded orthopedic practices – both as a physical therapist and clinic manager. Ginger is also an assistant instructor for Myopain Seminars in their Dry Needling Series.
Specialties
Ginger uses her high-level skills to treat amateur tennis players, golfers, runners, and non-athletes to get them back to the things they love. She conducts movement analysis, running assessments, dry needling, joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization and specific exercises catered to each patient. She implements pelvic floor PT into her services to help adults move without leaking and to enjoy sex without pain.
Personal Background
Ginger enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, scuba diving and traveling. She also enjoys spending time in the community volunteering with wheelchair tennis (Wheel Serve) and various tennis and pickleball events.
